Host Nation Kits: USA, Mexico & Canada at World Cup 2026

The 2026 World Cup is the first since 2002 to be shared between more than one country — three of them: the United States, Mexico and Canada. Three hosts meant three home kits carried right through the build-up, and each one has its own story.

Mexico

Mexico made history before a ball was kicked, becoming the first country to host the World Cup three times after 1970 and 1986. They opened the whole tournament against South Africa at the Estadio Azteca on 11 June. Mexico's green home shirt has a following that stretches well beyond Mexican fans — it's one of the most-bought international shirts in the world in most years, and a home World Cup only turned that up. United States

The USA last hosted in 1994, the tournament often credited with kick-starting the modern American game. Three decades on, the home shirt carries a fast-growing football culture behind it, and a group-stage run on home soil put it in front of a huge audience.

Canada

Canada hosted a men's World Cup for the first time in 2026. For a nation still building its football story, being one of the hosts — and putting its home shirt on the biggest stage — is a milestone in itself.
